About the Space Center
The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is located in Kissimmee, Florida. At the Kennedy Space Center, visitors can speak with a veteran astronaut during the daily Astronaut Encounter, tour the Giant Rocket Garden, learn about the history of space exploration on a giant IMAX screen and even train like an astronaut in flight simulators. Visitors can also tour NASA's real launch areas. At the Launch Complex (LC) 39 Observation Gantry, there is a bird's eye view of both launch pads as well as views of the Vehicle Assembly Building and the Launch Control Center. On launch days, visitors can even watch takeoff. The Hubble Spacecraft Exhibit, Early Space Exploration Exhibit and the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame provide more information about the evolution of space travel and the adventurous men and women who have made journeys to space. In the Apollo/Saturn V center, visitors can inspect a real, Saturn V rocket. Children also love playing in the newly redesigned Children's Play Dome. Indeed no vacation to Florida is complete without a visit to the Kennedy Space Center.
